This custom cabin is ready to be your mountain dream home for a truly unforgettable vacation! Newly added to our program of Sensational Vacation Estates, Lagunita Shores has never been rented before and is in pristine condition. The large back yard has a deep water dock for all your boats and personal water craft and is wind protected so you can enjoy evenings outdoors on the deck. Lagunita Shores has unobstructed views down the length of the lake and is one of the best locations for a front seat view to the SoCal's best July 4th fireworks show. The back yard includes a very large 12 person hot-tub, a large sandy badminton/volleyball court, outdoor natural gas BBQ and food prep area, and gas fire pit and plenty of seating and lounge chairs. The first floor also has a separate cottage bedroom with queen size bed and large ensuite with urinal and expansive shower. Most sleeping quarters are up a flight of half-log stairs. The master bedroom is spacious with vaulted ceilings and access to a second floor deck. The triple-sized master bath has a large shower with two shower heads and a jacuzzi, infinity edge bath tub that fills from a spigot in the ceiling! Very dramatic. Four additional bedrooms on this floor, one with two queen beds, two with queen-sized beds, a boy's bunk room decorated with rust and royal green, a girls' bunk room lovely, light and strong. The expansive ESTATE AT MALLARD BAY has three bedrooms downstairs, plus a huge upstairs loft and game room, three bathrooms, sleeping 14 guests, two large redwood decks (front and back), Wi-Fi, and over ½ acre of beautifully maintained landscaping. The home features an expansive, sun-filled great room with a wood-burning fireplace and a 2-story wall of windows. This home is one of the very few lakefront homes in Big Bear Lake with a secure gated backyard for families and especially young children. The Mallard Bay area is centrally located only a few minutes to the village and Alpine Sledding and ten minutes to Snow Summit. With easy access to the lake, the village, ski slopes and hiking trails, this lakefront estate is perfectly located for all your adventures in Big Bear Lake. The large fenced backyard is perfect for winter snow play and situated to watch the amazing July 4th fireworks in the summer.

FIRST FLOOR: The first floor offers an expansive open floor plan that brings family together while cooking, dining, or relaxing. Walk in through the front door and you will say “WOW’ as your eyes peer through the two-story wall of windows and focuses on the serenity of the lake. The living room is equipped with a HDTV with satellite service and all the internet-based services such as Netflix and HULU. The kitchen is stocked with the tools of the trade and has an eat-in breakfast bar with its own sink. For the cook, there is a four-burner gas grill, two large microwaves, and an oven. The rear deck overlooking the lake has a 5-burner propane barbecue grill, a large dining table, a swing for two, and comfortable sofa/side chair seating for five. The beautiful redwood front deck is perfect for quiet conversation and wine tasting overlooking the park-like landscaping. Dine inside at the large table surrounded by tall windows highlighting the mature pine trees and blue sky. This is nature at its best! The master suite has a king-sized bed, (sleeps 2), a HDTV, a wood burning fireplace, and a full bathroom with a shower and a large deep soaking tub. The other two large bedrooms share a bathroom between them (one room has a king bed (sleeps two) and the other with a queen bed (sleeps two). Sleeping a total of six guests on the first floor.

SECOND FLOOR: The second floor is considered the fourth bedroom with a large loft having two large closets behind sliding doors. Accommodations here include three twins (sleeps three) a bunk bed with a twin (sleeps one) on top over a full bed (sleeps two), and a pull-out queen-sized sleeper sofa (sleeps three). There is plenty of room here for additional blow-up mattresses or sleeping bags. The loft includes a full-sized pool table, electronic dartboard, wet bar, a large TV for computer gaming, as well as board games and puzzles. Sleeping a total of up to (8) guests. The kids have their own space upstairs allowing the adults to indulge in conversation, relaxation, and cooking downstairs.

BACKYARD, LAKE, AND DOCK: There is a large flat enclosed backyard suitable for frisbee, baseball and football throwing, badminton, croquet, and bocce ball. Bring your own sports equipment. The gate exiting the yard can be secured with a lock, especially to protect the little ones. Out on the dock, fish for trout, crappie, blue gill, and an occasional bass and catfish. The owner of the house caught a 10 lb. catfish off the dock that made the BIG BEAR GRIZZLY newspaper. Consider bringing a blowup kayak or jet skis. At the time of this writing (July 26, 2020) the water depth at the dock was only 1 foot. Enough for kayaks, but not for most boats. If you would like to bring your own boat please check all lake rules and the BBMWD website. Marinas are not offering daily dock rentals this season so you will have to take water craft in and out the same day.

Downstairs is a large second living room for the kids to watch movies or play a game of pool with the 8' slate pool table. Out the back door is an expansive view of the lake from a large deck. The deck is the perfect location for a cup of coffee, a relaxing dip in the tub, or to exchange storeis about the full day of activities. WINTER WEATHER: From November through March, all vehicles are required to carry chains in their vehicle. If stopped by highway patrol, they will ask to see them. Weather can change quickly in Big Bear and significant snow can stop traffic and delay commutes to and around the Big Bear area. Watch the weather forecast and plan your trip accordingly. WowRentals does not provide refunds for winter weather conditions. During winter snow storms, we will try our best to plow driveways as quickly as possible, but road conditions can slow down our ability to access many properties. Winter weather can create treacherous conditions. Drive safe and be prepared.

RENTAL AGREEMENT: All guests, regardless of booking direct or through third party channels will be required to read and sign a rental agreement with the property manager. LAKE LEVEL: Lake levels can fluctuate throughout the year that affect the dock. As of July 30, 2020 the lake is down 11 feet which leaves about 1.5 feet of water around the dock. Enough for kayaks, paddle boards and jet skies and some pontoon boats, but probably not V-haul boats.

NOTE ON LAKE LEVELS: 7/20/2020 The lake has recovered this year. Up by over 10 feet since last year. In some areas this has affected the ability to use docks at many rentals… NOT HERE. The dock here is in the water and ready for kayaks, boats, fishing, etc. Have fun on your private dock!
